Human Rights and Justice
a. Human Rights Education and Advocacy
This program is aim at facilitating and enabling human rights awareness campaigns by creating and sponsoring self-sustainable local programs tailored to meet the needs of various communities.
b. Prison Reform
Our objective is to improve prison conditions for inmates especially children who often have little or no protection. Our experience shows that some prisons in developing countries do little or nothing to segregate the inmates making the juvenile section of the prison easily accessible by others. Hence, these juveniles become an easy target for exploitation by other inmates because of their age and strength. GSW will help establish educational amenities within juvenile sections of prisons, handicraft workshops, and recreational facilities where applicable; so that by the time these young offenders have completed their sentence, they will be equip with basic survival skills to positively adapt in their chosen communities with marginal support.
c. Rule of Law and Governance
Where legal reform is needed in specific areas and countries, we will work with local groups, organizations, politicians, and government agencies to create awareness and to organize seminars and forums calling on leaders to consider repeal or comparable alternatives.
